Coningsby & District Show

Have you collected your schedule from local shops or committee members ready for the show on 13th September and entry forms should be in by 10th (or you pay double entry fee!)
There really is something for everyone to exhibit with 14 annual trophies to be awarded from fruit & vegetables, flowers, baking & preserves, crafts, and many children’s classes.
Perhaps you, or your group, club, might like to enter this year’s competition for the static “Scarecrow in Space” – it can be any size and you can let your imagination run riot for a
spaceman or scary alien!
How about entering the art section – new this year. “A painting in any medium incl’ pastels. Or a photograph “village life” or “all creatures great and small” which can be in colour or black and white.
Do you know your onions? Any vegetable from the humble potato or the longest runner bean , any fruit you can manage to hide from the family, or, maybe your pride is in flowers, garden or pot, there are 15 classes to be judged.
Baking and preserves offer a large choice from home made bread to ginger cake.
Children’s choices are in three age groups, something for any age and children can also enter adult classes. Finally there is the floral art and crafts, definitely something for everyone to have a go.
Exhibits need to be in the Coningsby Community Hall between 8.00am and 10.30 prompt when the judging will start. Doors open to the public at 2.00am, refreshments available organised by Coningsby and Tattershall W.I. Any exhibits not collected by 4.00pm will be auctioned which starts at 4.15 pm.
